The Redwood Empire Composite Squadron 157 is located in Santa Rosa, California at the beautiful Sonoma County Airport. We are a composite squadron which consists of Cadets and Seniors.
The Civil Air Patrol cadet program has kids who range in age from 12 to 21. These kids may be focused on going to the military or they may just be interested in bettering themselves. Each meeting focuses on one of the required topics: Leadership, Character Development, Aerospace Education and Physical Training.
The Senior side is for adults ranging in age from 18 and up. They are able to focus on specialty tracks that they find interesting to them. There are a wide range but one of the biggest for our squadron, is the Cadet Programs Specialty Track. The members in this track are focused on working with the Cadets directly.
The cadet side meets every Monday night (6:30 PM) at the Squadron 157 Headquarters (next door to the Pacific Coast Air Museum). Cadets are expected to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.
Senior members meet every first and third Monday of the month. The first meeting of the month focuses on aviation and pilot related training and skills. The second meeting of the month focuses on emergency services and disaster relief training. We hope you will come out, check us out, and if it is something you are interested in, you will join us.
